The project, headed by A.S. Moskolev and A.I. Smirnov concerned the development of a supersonic bomber. According to the manufacturers the maximum weight would be up to 300.000 kg, the travel speed, at a height of 30-35 km, about M = 4.4 to 4.6.

The use of titanium alloy, instead of the D-23, would improve the performance of the craft and especially the maximum speed and range. The powerplants would be between 6 or 8 or 10 engines.

The defensive armament consisting of 4-5 air-to-air missiles and two turrets. All operations were terminated in 1960.
