The new UCAV "Grom", a full-scale model was presented for the first time at the "Army 2020" forum in Russia. It evolved from the Russian company Kronshtadt Group as a system capable of engaging in air combat, cooperating with fighter jets, providing protection, carrying ammunition, carrying out assault and reconnaissance missions. According to the statements made by the designers of Kronshtadt Group, "Grom" is designed with stealth technology specifications.
 

Little is known about the electronic systems it will carry (it can be equipped with an AESA radar and it will also carry two side radar antennas, on the "X" frequencies).

In terms of design, the vessel has several similarities to the American Kratos XQ-58 Valkyrie prototype which is currently under is in the testing stage.

The "Grom" armament arsenal  includes missiles such as: new generation "Izdeliye 85" guided missile, KAB-250 LG-E and KAB-500S-E type aerial bombs as well as Kh-38MLE type guided missile.

The internal armament compartment can carry up to 4 standard configuration missiles, depending on the mission. The weapon load of the “Grom” can easily be increased by adding additional external cargo attachment points, under the wing.

Aircraft guided missile «izdeliye 85».

A Guided missile with a high-explosive fragmentation warhead increased penetrating ability. Intended for destruction of ground targets, armored vehicles as well as surface vessels.

Corrected Air bomb KAB-500S-E

KAB-500S-E Corrected Air Bomb with Satellite Guidance System (GLONASS) and high explosive warhead and operates by “drop-and forget” principle. It is used to attack reinforced targets (reinforced buildings, aircraft shelters, etc.), but also runways.
