MALE - Medium-altitude long-endurance unmanned air vehicleю

Low-wing monoplaner with a tail unit in a "V" type and a pusher propeller.

Developed by the Russian company Kronshtadt Group as a reconnaissance system with the ability to map the terrain, mapping and transmitting coordinate targets. The aircraft design is similar to the American MQ-1 Predator / MQ-9 Reaper.

The prototype air vehicle is equipped with a Rotax 914 engine, power 86 kW (115 hp), equipped with a turbocharger, a single fixed-pitch propeller type AV-115, 1.9 meters in diameter. The airframes of serial production will be of Russian origin of the APD110 / 120 engine. Orion is capable of delivering ISR, FLIR, SAR and other systems. 

 Its maiden flight took place on 15 October 2016. 

A complete Orion system includes: 6 UAVs, a control station, communications, and auto-unlock systems. 

Flights in icing conditions, automatic flight control, low acoustic visibility, from composite materials, electric aircraft systems, radio and electronic intelligence system.

According to the "ARMY 2017" forum, which took place in August 2017, "OKB Aviaavtomatika" and "VAIS-Technika" guided bombs of 25 kg and 50 kg were presented. 

The companies Corporation Tactical Missile Weapons (KTRV) and "Kronstadt" also develops guided weapons for use specifically by UAVs.
