A two-seater, modernized army combat-transport helicopter was created on the basis of the Mi-24, a round-the-clock operation with a new avionics. The new avionics GOES-342 (round-the-clock surveillance-Aiming system) provides the crew of helicopters: - the round-the clock detection and identification of ground and surface targets - laser range finding - aiming of machine guns/cannons and unguided weapons - and guidance of airborne missiles.
The GOES-342 comprises:
- a field of view stabilization system
- a TV channel
- an IR imaging channel made on the basis of the 2 generation “Module-Avia” IR imager
- a direction finder
