In numbers Through the lens Video
This is a supersonic super-manoeuvrable singleseat forwardswept experimental aircraft powered by two D-30F11 engines. It was developed under the fifth-generation fighter programme and first flew on 25 September 1997.
Color illustration of the structure, from composite materials.
By August 2001, a total of more than 110 sorties had been logged.
The Su-47's development expertise and test results are expected to be used in designing the future new-generation fighter.
