This is a modification first appeared in 1979, was developed based on the MiG-25RB. The aircraft was identical to the "RB/RBV" variant with the only difference being that instead of the "Virazh" station "Tangazh" electronic reconnaissance equipment was installed.
Serial production of the MiG-25RBT aircraft was carried out at the Gorky plant in 1980-1982.
