Export version of AWA&C for the Indian Air Force, based on the Il-76TD (an aviation complex similar to the standard order of "AI" AWA&C), with four PS-90A-76 turbofan engines with a thrust of 16.000 kgf each.

The aircraft was equipped with a multifunctional pulse-Doppler radar type EL / M-2075 (or EL / W-2090) of the Israeli company Elta.

- The radar has a circular field of view for the detection and tracking of air and surface targets at a distance of up to 450 km.

- operating range 1.280-1.400 MHz at one of 22 frequencies.

The first flight was made on November 29, 2007. On January 20, 2008, the A-50EI aircraft (number KW-3551) was transferred to Israel for further work and testing of radar. Tests of the aviation complex continued until the end of 2008.
