A heavy military transport aircraft turboprop a lifting capacity of 60.000 kg, powered by four engine-cocxial propeller Kuznetcov NK-12MA 15.000 h.p. each. The maiden flight was made on 27 February 1965. An approximate production of 68 aircraft employed by the VVS and Aeroflot. It can transport fuel-tank wagon or truck crane or three (3) containers of the YAK-10 type, pipes and goods on the ramp or 227 soldiers, vehicles goods, etc.
