The auxiliary turbojet engine is RU19-300 designed to be installed on aircraft as an additional power plant (mainly installed on aircraft of the An-24 (RV), An-26 and An-30 type).

The engine provides:
-creation of additional thrust at take-off
-ensuring flight safety in case of failure of one engine
-creation of additional thrust during climbing under hot climate conditions
-on-board starting of the power plant
-increased in-flight power ratio in case of failure of one engine
-aircraft power supply in case of main engine generators failure
-supply of the aircraft power system with electric power at idle main engines at parking.
Structurally, the engine consists of a seven-stage axial compressor with air bypass behind the fourth stage, an annular combustion chamber, a single-stage turbine and a exhaust nozzle.
