D-36 is a three-shaft, high bypass ratio (5.4) turbofan engine of a modular design. Aircraft powered by the engine Yakovlev Yak-42, Antonov An-72 and on ekranoplanes of the “Kometa-2” and “Vikhr-2 series”. Serial production began in 1977.
