PANHARD offers a range of military wheeled vehicles up to 12 tonnes, armoured and non armoured, for all the requirements of the armed or security forces.

More than 2400 VBL are in service in Armoured and Infantry Corps of 15 Countries including France and Greece which deploy their VBL in overseas operations to protect their units (Afghanistan, Kosovo, Lebanon, Ivory Coast....).

VBL Mk2, already in service, includes numerous improvements compared to standard VBL: higher power with new diesel turbo-charged engine / 125 hp, combined a new 4 ratio automatic gear box, enlarged wheels/tyres and Central Type Inflation System (CTIS) for significant increase of cross country capacity.

VBL Mk2 remains fully amphibious and NRBC protected and can be equipped with various armaments, such as Anti Tank Missile Turret (Kornet...) or Remote Control Weapon and Observation Systems.

In 1997, the Hellenic Army receives the first 13 reconnaissance VBL Panhard  vehicles, another 14 in 1998, and another 23 in 1999.
Today there are about 243 vehicles in service.

There is a strong interest of purchasing another 209 (VBL Mk.2) light wheeled reconnaissance vehicles, (in the Single Medium Term Development and Modernization Program) with the budget reaching up to 111.5 million.

Versions of Panhard in service in the Hellenic Army: 
Anti-tank version MILAN (the vehicle carries up to 6 MILAN antitank missiles and a machine gun of 7,62 mm with a 2000 projectile stock). 
Communicationscommand and reconnaissance (this version has an open turret PL127 type, equipped with a Browning M2HB machine gun of 12,7 mm, mounted over the roof of the crew chief seat. All Panhards are integrated into the power of  the Second Army Corps.
