Is deigned for destruction of attacking means, tank, motorized and infantry units, artillery battalions.
In concentration areas, on march and in combat order, of air and naval assault units in their areas and other targets.
CV 9A52-4 is a rocket artillery system mounted on KAMAZ chassis 6350 with wheel arrangement 8 x 8.
CV 9A52-4 is intended to transport rocket projectiles (RP) of MLRS Smerch in transport-loading container, to prepare and fire by rocket projectiles (RP) from container.
The main method of firing is based on the full preparation
from indirect fire position without terrain orientation with control by laying drives and lifting jacks;
with firing from container with the crew staying in the cab what allows to open fire quickly.
In CV there is an opportunity to control fire by rocket projectiles (RP) from container from the remote control panel.
Combat vehicle (CV) 9A52-4 consists of:
automated guidance and fire control system (AGFCS) providing for CV guidance staying in the cab, autonomous survey and navigation orientation, visual necessary data representation coming from the car and of the current information on the indicator panel.
LPGE system providing for preparation and rocket projectiles fir (RP).
Intercommunication means providing for information by radio or by electric channels with outer subscribers.
Rather small weight and overall dimensions with considerable fighting power make CV more mobile and passable in weak soil, over engineering constrictions with carrying capacity 25 tons.
