Introduction in Hellenic Air Force in: 1974
Entered service the HAF in 1974 and currently equips the 337-All Weather Squadron, 338th persecution-Bombardment Squadron and 339th All Weather Squadron.
The F-4E Phantom II, with the Avionics Upgrade Program is significantly upgraded and will continue to offer its services to the HAF, alongside third-generation aircraft (all modernized F-4E Phantom II will remain in the Greek arsenal until 2027).

| In 1990 the HAF received 28 F-4E SRA (Southeastern Regional Agreement) aircraft. All aircraft were upgraded and joined the PA in 1997, with the main mission being interception. The SRA version was withdrawn from active service on December 25, 2005. |
