In numbers Through the lens Video
The MiG-41 Foxglove began to be designed in the early 70s, and was probably a response to the American F-117. Today almost 20 years later, as a program it remains a top secret. There have only been some rare reports of a strange aircraft making some flights in the airspace of China, Alaska and the Middle East (since 1992).
In essence, it is an aircraft roughly equivalent to the F-117, with larger dimensions that can also easily engage in a dogfight without any problems. From an aerodynamic point of view, it is a high-wing, twin-engine aircraft, with large LERX surfaces that smoothly join the trapezoidal wing, double vertical tail unit with a fairly large external deflection and of course with the absence of the horizontal stabilizer (something similar to the F-23). The engine vents are positioned above the level of the LERXs and the wing (something similar to the F-117).
Its design is quite reminiscent of the American ATF program. The nose cone configuration helps improve the radar performance characteristics and imparts stealth characteristics to the aircraft. Transportable weapons are placed in internal storage.
Unknown type of radar. Rather, it is an electronic scanning radar capable of tracking up to 60 targets while the (TWS) search continues, while it can simultaneously engage up to 30 targets. The maximum scanning range reaches 315 km. In addition, it has the ability to "Look Down" and track terrain (Terrain Following).
