The Yak-8 was a twin-engine, eight-seat passenger aircraft (six passengers and two crew members), developed based on the Yak-6. It was power plant by M-11FM (M-11M), each producing 145 hp, and equipped with two-bladed VISh-2 propellers.
The aircraft featured an all-wood construction. Although it passed state tests and was recommended for serial production, it was not put into production due to the transition to metal construction. Its development was subsequently discontinued.
