Little is known about the T-1 (ANT-41), developed in 1936 by the Tupolev Design Bureau under the leadership of A. N. Tupolev. Its maiden flight took place on June 2, 1936, and lasted 25 minutes. During flight tests on July 3, 1936, the aircraft crashed, although the crew successfully escaped. Following the accident, the designers made every effort to bring the T-1 into production, but the aircraft never entered serial manufacture.
