This bomb is intended to engage ground hardened targets such as military industrial facilities and reinforced concrete shelters, as well as waterborne targets.
It is used to arm Su-24M, Su-27IB and other front-line aircraft and dropped from altitudes of 1 to 15 km at a speed of 550 to 1.700 km/h. The KAB-1500L-F differs from the KAB-1500L-Pr by the warhead.
