The Tu-243 is essentially an a sophisticated one and improved version of the Tu-143 “Reis”. It can be equipped with an aerial camera type PA-402, TV-recognition system type “Aist-M” or IR-recognition system type “Zima-M”, thus allowing the transmission of information in real time through the radio link of the system “Trassa-M” .

 

The modernized version first flew in 1987 and made its first appearance at the MAKS-97 exhibition. It joined the arsenal in 1999 and is still in use © Konstantinos Panitsidis
