The orbital and hypersonic aircraft Spiral was developed by OKB-155 Mikoyan in 1965, under the leadership of the Chief Designer of the OKB Gleb Evgenievich Lozino-Lozinsky. Aerospace system Spiral is a two-stage space complex, which consists of a hypersonic accelerator aircraft and a manned orbital aircraft.
