According to chief designer V.V. Nazarov of company Amfikon a line of ekranoplans was develped, for the needs of Russia. The program should have materialized in 15 years (1991-2008).
The company accomplished drawing of conventional ekranoplans, weighting from 3.000 kilos up to 5.000 tons (in the form of flying wing). According to statements of its representatives, the ekranoplans were of multiple roles, capable of massive loads transport, offering complete safety, speed, flexibility, especially when flying low, etc.
One of the basic advantages of NVA, is the possibility of carrying loads of up to 50% of its biggest weight of take off.
