Yak-141 - Supersonic multipurpose vertical takeoff and landing fighter, was developed by OKB Yakovlev. The fighter was developed in the mid-1970s as an interceptor and close maneuver combat and secondarily for strikes against ground and surface targets. The first flight was performed (as aircraft) by test pilot A.A. Sinitsin March 9, 1987.

A total of four Yak-141 prototypes were produced:
-"izdeliye 48-0" (prototype reg.) - was intended for static tests.
-"izdeliye 48-1" (prototype with reg.48) - the prototype was intended for testing and research on the bench and moments, as well as the functioning of the power plant.
-“izdeliye 48-2” (prototype with reg.75) - the first flight prototype, the second of a series of Yak-141 prototypes, was first shown at the Farnborough Air Show in 1992 (reg.141). After demonstrations at MAKS-93 and 95, the fighter was transferred to the Yakovlev Design Bureau Museum, since 2009 the Yak-141 was transferred to the Vadim Zadorozhny Museum of Technology (number 75).
-"izdeliye 48-3" (prototype with reg.77) - pre-production fighter, October 5, 1991 crashed, was later restored and transferred as a ground exhibit to the Central Museum of the Russian Air Force in Monino.
On the Yak-141 aircraft, 12 world records registered by the FAI were set. Class H (VTOL), N (STOL). Group III. Turbojet.
