The Su-35 is a singleseat super-agile multirole fighter powered by two AL-31FP 12,500-kgf thrust vector-controlled (TVC) engines.
The first AL-31F-powered Su-35 prototype (Su-27M) flight took place on 28 June, 1988. In 1996, the first several Su-35s were fielded with the Russian Air Force. In 1996, one of the Su-35 prototypes (side number 711) was fitted with thrustvectored engines for the very first time.
Its maiden flight in its new capacity was made on 2 April, 1996. Su-35's derivative is the Su-35UB twin-seat super-agile multirole fighter whose prototype first flew on 7 August, 2000.
The Su-35 has two widely spaced AL-31F turbofan engines, with afterburner, and 12.500 kgf afterburning thrust each, with thrust-vectoring nozzle control.
Equipment aircraft: A pulse-Doppler radar N011/Zhuk-27 with multiple versions arrangements: of a simple and distinct facet capacity, following and avoiding terrain-relief, mapping, weather radar, moving ground target trace and tracking, and air-to-air firing version optimized for firing bellow the flying of the aircraft.
Electro-optical OEPS-27 system with an OLS-jamming maximum radius range 50 km which covers the rear hemisphere of the aircraft. The radar provides: Detection range 400 km, Range for target jamming 100+ km, Number of detected and tracked targets: 15, Number of simultaneous attacks against targets: 6.
