The Su-30MKI is a two-seat multirole super-agile Su-30K derivative powered by a pair of AL-31FP 12.500-kgf thrust-vectored engines and featuring updated avionics coupled with an impressive array of air-to-air and air-to surface weapons. 

The flying prototype first took off on 1 July, 1997. The aircraft has been in production with the IAIA since the year 2000 and is going to be license-produced by India.
