Su-80 (S-80) Multipurpose transport aircraft.
A multipurpose twin-boom transport/passenger turboprop featuring a lifting capacity of 3.300 kg and powered by two General Electric CT7-9B 1.750-hp 6-blade tractor propeller engines. The KnAAPO is currently productionising the aircraft.
The versions offered are the S-80PG convertible transport/passenger aircraft to carry 23 passengers or a 3.300-kg cargo, S-80P passenger aircraft, S-80TD military transport to carry and airdrop 21 paratroops or a 3.300-kg cargo, S-80M 10-casualty medevac, S-80PT transport patrol to patrol the littoral economic zones, carry 20 passengers/paratroops or 3.300-kg cargo-it mounts a surveillance/sighting system comprising a radar and an IR thermal imager, and externally-mounted rockets/gun weapons suite.
The S-80 prototype's maiden flight is slated for 2001.
