A single-seat, twin-engine supersonic reconnaissance bomber was created on the basis of the MiG-25RB aircraft in 1972.
MiG-25RBK was distinguished by the presence of a complex of detailed electronic intelligence "Kub-3M". There was no aerial camera equipment on the plane and it was not installed, transparent hatches for aerial cameras were covered with metal.
Serial production of the MiG-25RBK was carried out from 1973 to 1980.

MiG-25RBK reconnaissance-bomber export version with simplified guidance and weapon control equipment was supplied to Algeria, Iraq, Libya, Syria, India and Bulgaria.
