Also known as: Y-30

On December 16, 2025, a video showing the flight test of a four-engine turboprop military transport aircraft developed by Shaanxi Aircraft Corporation (formerly XAC) appeared on the Chinese internet. The aircraft was first publicly mentioned during Airshow China 2014 in Zhuhai, where it was presented in model form under the designation Y-30.

The Y-15 aircraft was developed as part of a program aimed at creating a next-generation medium military transport aircraft to replace the aging Y-8 and Y-9 models.

The aircraft is designed as a cantilever high-wing monoplane, equipped with wingtip aerodynamic surfaces and a T-type tail configuration.

It is powered by four turboprop engines, likely of the WJ-10 type (Pe=5.100 hp) or WJ-16 (Pe=6.800 hp), driving six-blade variable-pitch propellers.
