Douglas A-26 "Invader" - American medium bomber, developed by Douglas Aircraft Co. during the 2nd WW It first flew on 10 July 1942. A total of around 2,500 aircraft (of all versions) were built. In the period 1948-1966, the aircraft was designated as B-26 (it bore the same designation as the B-26 Marauder bomber, resulting in confusion with its designations).
