Greece was one of the first countries to receive the F-5A in 1965, which in turn was incorporated into the 341, 343 and 349 Squadron.
A total of 140 aircrafts were acquired, including educational and photo-recognition publications.
The aircraft remained in the armed forces of the Air Force until 2001, when it was finally withdrawn.
