He joined the force of the HAF in the mid-1970s and gave unprecedented precision and range capabilities to bombing missions. It equips Squadrons 335 and 336 (since 2002 in Araxos).

The A-7 Corsair II aircraft have been retired from active service on October 31, 2014.
