APG-83 SABR – (Scalable Agile Beam Radar)
APG-83 SABR – (Scalable Agile Beam Radar)

APG-83 SABR – (Scalable Agile Beam Radar) is a modern air-toair and air-to-surface AESA radar, including synthetic aperture mapping (BIG SAR), capable of identifying targets at long ranges, providing increased performance in high ECM environments and high engagement accuracy.

The radar operates at a frequency of about 20 GHz with the ability to simultaneously track more than 20 targets. The maximum target detection range in air-to-air mode with an RCS of 1 m2 (fighter) is up to 135 km (using the AIM-120 missile) and up to 370 km is possible for larger targets.
