In numbers Through the lens Video
“Alkyon” Aerial target has been designed to cover training demands mainly imposed by Anti Aircraft Artillery. Originally flying at visual ranges, due to its great maneuverability, endurance and low speed flying capability it was soon adopted to simulate a great variety of AD threats in an integrated environment to include asymmetric threat representation.
Payload Capability
RCS enhancement: RF amplifiers, Corner Reflectors, Aluminum Stripes
IR radiation: IR Flares
Visual: Smoke
Other: Video Camera, MDI, Laser Reflectors, GFE

Alkyon evolved to meet training requirements of anti-aircraft guns (AA Zu 23/ Reichmental), Patriot, Manpad Systems.
Key Features
-Easy visual detection and long endurance for tracking training
-Multiple flight capability
-Low speed flight capability
-Easy use and maintenance
-Commonality with other EADS 3 SIGMA target systems
-Low cost
