Bomber aircraft produced under license in China. It first flew in 1959, and one of the originals was used in the first aerial nuclear test mission at Lop Nor in China, on May 14, 1965.

Xian H-6 C (H-6III) - Modernized version for electronic warfare
Xian H-6 C-Used to guide cruise type missiles (appeared in the '90s, without the internal storage of arms and equipment of electronic warfare). 
Xian H-6D (H-6 IV) - Anti ship aircraft 
Xian H-6 E - Bomber with advanced electronics (in service with the Air Force since 1980). 
Xian H-6 F -New code name of the modernized H-6A και H-6C aircrafts (equipped with INS / Inertial navigation system, Doppler radar and a GPS signal receiver).
Xian H-6 Η - It can carry two KD-63 type cruise missiles (analogous of the C-601 against ships). The aircraft has no internal armor compartment or EW systems. First appearance in1990.
H-6M - Strategic cruise missile carrier, equipped with an area relief system and four external mounting points of weapons under the wing. The version was introduced in 1990 and bears no internal weapons compartment or EW systems. The production of this version possibly started in early 2006.
Xian HD-6 (Hongzhaji Dian-6) - EW aircraft.
Xian H-6K - It is an evolution of the Tu-16, equipped with engines D-30KP-2 instead of WP-8 (a copy of the Soviet AM-3M), with modified fuselage board and improved electronics, with a capacity of carrying up to six type CJ-10A missiles (copy of the Kh-55). It first flew on January 5, 2007. Integration in the Chinese Air Force arsenal in 2011.

H-6D - Strategic bomber.

Experimental aircrafts and prototypes:
H-6 Engine Testbed – H-6 (#086). It was used for engine testing for 20 years (until the purchase of the IL-76, whicg gradually replaced ).
H-6 Launch Vehicle – Satellite launch platform, from 10 km height (presented in 2000 and at China Airshow, in 2006).
Xian H-6I – modified version with 4 Rolls-Royce Sprey Mark 512 turbofan engines, (from the aircraft Hawker Siddeley Trident).The two additional engines were installed under the wing. 
The range of the vessel was increased to 8,100 km, with normal payload and more than 5,000 km with a payload of nuclear bombs. Developed in the 70's, first flight in 1978.
Xian H-8I – Strategic bomber, based on the H-6. Developed by NII ? 603 in early 1970's. Two versions were made, one with four WS-6J (Type 910) engines and a six-engine aircraft powered by Pratt & Whitney JT-3D. The project was not upgraded beyond their design.
