Sperwer is a tactical UAVs (unmanned aircraft), which was developed based on the UAV Crecerelle and belongs to the category MALE (Medium Altitude, Long Range).
The system provides capabilities to operate independently of the existence of runways and airport infrastructure independently.

In the early 2000s the Hellenic Army had two systems UAVs. With the completion of deliveries (the latter had acquired in 2008 and is an improved version of the Sperwer). Which two armed battalions of the UAVs 472 and 473 TEEP, set up in 2003 2nd and 1st Signal, EW, Surveillance Regiment.
Each Band unmanned airborne vehicle (UAV) includes:
- Four drones (UAVs)
- 1 units-of UAVs launch platforms catapult
- 1 station containing the UAVs control station from the ground, GCS (Ground Control Stations) and a backup.
- 1 Station GDT communications (Ground Data Terminals) and a backup.
- Transport vehicles and UAVs collection.
- Technical support Group PMF (Platoon Maintenance Facility: Platoon Support) vehicle (per 1 per system).
- 1 flight simulator
