Entered service in 1999. It is a twin engine, medium transporter, mono-rotor multi-role helicopter. It is used for air transport, search and rescue missions as well as combat search and rescue missions. All Super Pumas belong to the 384 Search and Rescue Squadron “Phaethon”, and are based at the airport of Elefsina. The Hellenic Air Force received 10 units.
AS 332C1 Super Puma Search and rescue missions
The helicopter is equipped with a Bendix 1500 V search radar, a Thomson-CSF FLIR system, and has also a projector, a lifting crane, medical equipment and small rafts.
